3 Months: 1 Research, 1 Concept, 1 Design
While front desks offer local guidance, many travelers hesitate to ask staff for directions, preferring a private way to explore on their own.
After a long day on the move, no guest wants to crawl across hotel carpets to find an outlet. Accessible bedside charging is a welcome relief.
Smart speakers have mastered voice interaction and digital features, yet they still treat rich acoustic sound as an afterthought.
Bringing voice assistance and premium audio together solves the hotel room dilemma, answering guest questions without social friction while filling the space with warm, relaxing sound.
My First Real Design
Beginning my studies during the pandemic was unusual, but fantastic mentors helped me dive headfirst into this first product. It remains deeply meaningful to me because it sparked my passion for industrial design and taught me the fundamental process I still rely on today.
Looking back at the early concept phase shows how inexperienced I was. Many of those initial ideas made no sense, since they tried to solve problems that did not exist in the real world.
Refining established Braun aesthetics with a personal twist taught me the value of building on proven ideas. It was also a turning point in visualization, discovering how realistic KeyShot materials and precise lighting bring hardware to life.
